Kenneth Chance, M.D. F.A.C.S

Dr. Ken Chance, a board certified ophthalmologist, was born in New Bern and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an undergraduate degree. He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After internship at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, he completed ophthalmology residency at the George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. Dr. Chance joined Coastal Eye Clinic in July 1980.

With over 25 years of experience in comprehensive eye care, Dr. Kenneth Chance offers small incision sutureless cataract surgery, toric IOL’s for astigmatism correction, surgical correction of residual astigmatism, multifocal IOL’s to eliminate the need for glasses, medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma, contact lens evaluation and fitting, and evaluation and treatment of diabetic eye disease.

 

Dr. Kenneth Chance is married to a New Bern native and has two physician daughters – one in ophthalmology and one in otolaryngology.
